Dr. Sunny Parekh joined Georgia Bone & Joint in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of expertise and a distinguished academic background. A proud alumnus of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he graduated in 2018 as a member of the prestigious Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society, underscoring his commitment to excellence in the field. Dr. Parekh completed his orthopedic residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, serving as chief resident, and furthered his specialization with a sports medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida, in collaboration with the Florida Orthopedic Institute. During his fellowship, he gained valuable experience working with the University of South Florida Department of Athletics and St. Leo University as part of the Team Orthopedic Surgeons.

Passionate about orthopedic sports medicine, Dr. Parekh’s clinical interests encompass a range of conditions related to sports and athletic injuries. He is adept at treating tendon, muscle, and ligament injuries, as well as performing repair and reconstruction procedures, arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgeries, cartilage repair, fracture care, and regenerative medicine. His commitment to advancing the field is reflected in his role as a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Parekh enjoys spending time with his wife, Shreya. Their shared interests include playing tennis, traveling, and exploring new destinations.
